Eyelid Movies: A beautiful meeting

Ho pensato a lungo sull'argomento di cui parlare per "inaugurare" il mio blog, e alla fine ho deciso che la cosa migliore sarebbe stata quella di mostrarvi le foto del meeting fotografico a Bari (la città in cui vivo) del 3 Gennaio - quale modo migliore per cominciare il nuovo anno?-.

Recently I've been thinking a lot about how to "launch" my blog. Eventually, I decided that the best way to begin was to show you the photos I took at a "photography meetup" to whom I took part on the 3rd of January - and what a perfect way to begin the new year!-.

È sempre bello partecipare a questi meeting, ci si diverte sempre e si possono conoscere persone simpatiche che condividono la propria passione.. Ed è anche una ottima occasione per scattare foto, soprattutto in quei luuunghi periodi in cui l'ispirazione sembra proprio mancare.

It's always nice to take part to meetings like this one.. You can have a lot of fun and get to know fun and beautiful people, with the same passion as yours.. And it's also a good opportunity to take some photos, in particular when you are going through a loooong period of lack of inspiration.

Certo, se uno è un po' timidone con gli sconosciuti (come la sottoscritta..ahem..) all'inizio può sembrare un po' difficile riuscire ad "ambientarsi", ma consiglio a tutti coloro che si nascondono per questo motivo a fare un piccolo sforzo ed uscire dal guscio.. Io l'ho fatto e adesso la mia timidezza è quasi del tutto svanita!

For sure, if you are a little bit shy with people you don't know (like me... ahem..) at the beginning it can seem difficult to break the ice...But just try to make an effort to come out of your shell and you won't regret it. I did it and.. now I'm much more self-confident!

Come ogni meeting che si rispetti, tutto ciò che abbiamo fatto dopo esserci incontrati è stato semplicemente scattarci foto a vicenda, camminare per chilometri e chilometri, parlare di qualsiasi cosa, usare dei fumogeni in un parco nascondendoci tra i cespugli, provare i magnifici filtri prismatici di Teresa (♥), e giocare come dei bambini sulle giostre (ah, e mangiare!).

Like any other well-done-meeting, all we did was taking lots of photos of each other, walking for miles and miles, talking about whatever came to our minds, blue smoke producing, trying Teresa's wonderful prismatic filters and playing like children on some merry-go-round (oh, I almost forgot eating!).
